Warranty & Return Information

In the unlikely event that you experience an issue with one of our batteries, we have developed a straightforward warranty and return policy:

30-Day Return Policy

You may request a return within 30 days after delivery for eligible products purchased directly from PVBAT. To be eligible for return, the product must be in its original condition, with all accessories, manuals, packaging materials, and proof of purchase included.

A return authorization is required before sending any product back to PVBAT. Products returned without prior authorization may be refused, delayed, or returned to the sender.

For non-defective returns, a restocking fee of up to 20% may apply. Original shipping charges, freight charges, handling fees, installation costs, and payment processing fees are non-refundable unless required by applicable law or unless the return is due to PVBAT’s error.

Installed, used, modified, damaged, customized, clearance, final-sale, or special-order products may not be eligible for return unless required by law or covered by an approved warranty claim.

How to Start a Return

To request a return, contact service@pvbat.com with:

– Your order number
– The product model
– The reason for return
– Photos or videos showing the product condition
– A description of any issue, if applicable

If your return request is approved, we will provide return instructions. You are responsible for properly packaging the product for return shipment. Lithium batteries and energy storage products must be returned only in compliance with applicable transportation and carrier requirements.

10-Year Limited Warranty for PVBAT Battery Products

New PVBAT-branded LiFePO4 battery products purchased directly from PVBAT are covered by a 10-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use, proper installation, and operation within the product specifications.

This limited warranty begins on the date of original purchase or delivery, as shown by your order record or proof of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.

If PVBAT determines, after inspection or remote diagnosis, that a covered product has a defect in materials or workmanship, PVBAT may, at its discretion and to the extent permitted by law:

– Repair the product;
– Replace the defective product or component with a new, refurbished, or functionally equivalent product or component; or
– Provide another remedy required by applicable law.

Replacement products or components may not be identical in appearance or model number but will be reasonably equivalent in function where the original model is no longer available.

Cycle Life and Performance Estimates

Any stated cycle life, capacity retention, lifespan, or performance estimate is based on laboratory testing or manufacturer specifications under defined conditions, such as depth of discharge, temperature, charge and discharge rate, installation environment, and end-of-life capacity threshold.

Actual performance may vary depending on product model, system design, installation quality, operating temperature, maintenance, charging behavior, depth of discharge, and usage conditions. Cycle-life estimates are not a separate guarantee unless expressly stated in a written product-specific warranty.

Warranty Exclusions

This limited warranty does not cover:

– Improper installation, wiring, commissioning, or maintenance;
– Installation or use that violates product documentation, electrical codes, building codes, utility requirements, or applicable laws;
– Misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, improper storage, or improper transportation;
– Unauthorized repair, modification, disassembly, or alteration;
– Use with incompatible inverters, chargers, solar equipment, wiring, accessories, or third-party components;
– Operation outside specified voltage, current, temperature, humidity, or environmental limits;
– Overcharging, over-discharging, short circuit, reverse polarity, water ingress, fire, flood, lightning, surge, extreme heat, freezing, or other external causes;
– Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, scratches, dents, fading, or ordinary degradation of battery capacity over time;
– Damage caused by pests, rodents, corrosion, contamination, dust, or exposure to chemicals;
– Products with removed, altered, or unreadable serial numbers;
– Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, unless otherwise required by law;
– Labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, inspection, permitting, lost power, lost data, lost revenue, or other incidental or consequential costs, except where required by law.

Non-Warranty Service

If a returned product is inspected and determined not to be covered by warranty, PVBAT may offer paid repair, replacement, or return shipment options where available. Non-warranty service may include labor, parts, testing, handling, and shipping fees. We will provide an estimate for paid service before performing chargeable work whenever reasonably practicable.

Accessories Warranty

We offer a 30-day warranty on all accessories and complimentary items (such as BE connectors and wiring).

Shipping Costs for Returns and Warranty Claims

For non-defective returns, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs, and original shipping or freight charges are non-refundable unless required by law.

For approved warranty claims submitted within 30 days after delivery, PVBAT may provide a prepaid return label or other return-shipping arrangement at its discretion.

For warranty claims submitted more than 30 days after delivery, the customer may be responsible for shipping the product to PVBAT or an authorized service location. If the claim is approved, PVBAT will cover reasonable return shipping of the repaired or replacement product to the customer within the contiguous United States, unless otherwise stated in a product-specific warranty.

Lithium battery products must be shipped only in compliance with applicable packaging, labeling, and carrier requirements.

Support Policy

We provide free lifetime technical support and troubleshooting.

Legal Rights

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions of incidental or consequential damages, so certain limitations may not apply to you.

Important Notes
  • Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser
  • Warranty claims may be used once per internal component for exchange or replacement
  • Customer is responsible for return shipping on all returns or warranty inspections after the first 30 days
  • Replacement units or components will only be issued after inspection and verification of the returned product
  • PVBAT is not responsible for return shipping costs
  • DIY modifications or damage caused by misuse are not covered
